- Does Hokboek replace my federation's electronic clock?Hokboek is your own personal loft book. It never takes the place of the federation's official electronic clocking system, and it does not report results anywhere — the club position you enter is copied from the published list by hand.
- Does it work without an internet connection?Yes, always. Every screen, every calculation and every note works fully offline, because the app has no server and keeps all data on your phone.
- Where is my data if I get a new phone?Use Settings → export your loft book to save a copy of everything as a single file through the share sheet, then bring that file across to your new device.
- How is the arrival window calculated?From the release time and the distance from your loft to the release point, at the standard speeds of 1100, 1300 and 1500 metres per minute. Velocity for a clocked bird is distance divided by its flight time.
- Can I delete a bird or a whole race?Yes — swipe or use the edit menu on that row in the Loft, Results or Tosses screen, then confirm.
- Why does Hokboek ask for the camera or my photo library?Only so you can put a picture of a bird or its ring card on that bird's page. Nothing else uses either permission.
